Ami Cheetham (she/her), known under the moniker, “covens”, is a songwriter and producer based out of Manchester, England. She first began studying music production in 2011, and started writing her own music just three years later. It wasn’t until 2022 that she released her debut single, Aeonian, under the “covens” project.“I’ve been creating and performing music ever since I was a kid, thanks to my grandad!” (covens)
Her most recent single, still in love with u, released on March 10th with the American independent record label, DIGITALDAYDREAM, features a faster paced, yet melancholic dance track – taking inspiration from artists like Data Romance and Laxcity. Covens is primarily known for her downtempo garage-style tracks. However, in this new season of music, she experiments with those same intimate textures and ambience, but with a more uptempo approach. Still in love with u is an impactful record for both late-night listeners and high-energy dance enthusiasts alike.
